10005 Chernega (1976 SS2) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 24, 1976 by N. S. Chernykh at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. It is named after Nikolaj Akimovich Chernega, head of the Department of the Astronomical Observatory of Kiev University between 1961 and 1988.
